Mr. Schlosser founded TiePoint-bkm Engineering, LLC in 1994 to focus on the engineering aspects that impact data center availability. With more than twenty-five years of experience in the application, design and testing of electrical power generation and distribution equipment, Mr. Schlosser continues to design and commission power and distribution systems for computer and computer-related facilities. Under Mr. Schlosser’s leadership, TiePoint-bkm Engineering, LLC concentrates highly qualified resources on projects for customers who share TiePoint-bkm’s understanding and passion that availability is achieved through design.

Gary E. Johnson Jr., PE, CxA, ATD

Gary Johnson

Mr. Johnson began his career at full–service mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (m/e/p) engineering firm Burdette, Koehler, Murphy & Associates, Inc. (BKM) in 1987, following graduation from The Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. He worked directly under Tom Murphy, one of the company’s founders. After seven years with BKM, Mr. Johnson joined a 400–person A/E firm in Baltimore, as the Mechanical Department Head for the Building Design Group. After ten years away from BKM, he returned to the firm in 2004 as an owner. In 2007, he launched the firm’s Mission Critical Facilities division, BKM–MCF. TiePoint-bkm Engineering, LLC and BKM-MCF merged in 2015.

Gary is a registered professional engineer in Maryland, Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia, Minnesota, Arizona, and is NCEES certified. Gary is also a certified commissioning authority (CxA) through AABC.

Robert Reid

Robert D Reid

Mr. Reid joined TiePoint-bkm Engineering, LLC in 1999 with more than twenty years of experience in the electrical industry. As a principal, Mr. Reid focuses on design and testing of systems that directly impact data center availability. Mr. Reid has successfully managed architectural and engineering design teams that have created more than 250,000 square feet of raised floor IT equipment space for numerous Fortune 500 Corporate Data Center installations. Additionally, Mr. Reid has conducted critical infrastructure reviews of more than twenty data centers for users that desired an assessment of Tier Standards, root-cause failure analysis, or capacity expansion opportunities.
