EPO Code Revisions

TiePoint-bkm played a significant role in the successful effort to propose changes to the NEC’s requirement for Disconnecting Means Controls (Article 645) at data center principal exits. The objective was to minimize the risk of accidental and intentional downtime existing with DMCs (commonly known as Emergency Power Off or EPO switches), since the requirement was introduced as Code in the 1960s. Owners will decrease risk of interruption to data center operations if they construct or modify their facilities to the new Code requirements.

Emerging Technologies

TiePoint-bkm frequently advises major manufacturers of existing and emerging technologies in continuing efforts to improve the reliability of infrastructure systems.
